Frequently asked questions

It all began with a simple idea fueled by a deep passion. As a small business, we pride ourselves on personal attention and dedication to every detail. Our approach is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything we do reflects our commitment to excellence.

Do you provide security advice?

Yes. Consultants will advise on new and existing premises for CCTV,Locks, Alarms, Access Control and Security Services. We even cater for premises on decommissioning or vacant.

We are moving premises can you support our risk ?

Yes. This would be managed as a project. It includes all aspects from how you manage to exit strategy to delaps & condition reports. We would also ensure that all your documentation is in order for vacating and track all your HSE & environmental documentation. But it doesn’t end there... we must also consider your security. Handing a building or land over to a new buyer or tenant is one thing. Leaving it vacant because you have moved is another.

What aspects of emergency training do YA provide?

Everyone wants to sell you a training course. It’s hard to achieve when you are hybrid working or paying expenses which can work out more expensive than the course. First, we consult with you on what you need to be legally compliant. Then we look at what you have and whether or not its suitable and sufficient. Then we look at the most cost-effective way to apply resources. This may involve online courses which we can do or indeed inhouse training courses which we can deliver or bespoke. Such as Security, Fire Awareness, AED, CPR, First Responder, Med Gases, Epi Pen usage. These are all basic courses but there are courses we deliver for organisations that require a more structured approach. Such as Crisis Management or Major Emergencies. All our courses are certificated and tracked for renewal.

Can you support us with investigations?

Yes, we work with many HR or HSE departments all over the UK. Together we make a plan of how best to resolve the situation. Remember you are required by law to maintain compliance under the Bribery Act 2010. We will advise, conduct, and recommend how best to deal with incidents or events.

How skilled are your consultants?

Many of us are ex-police, military, fire, ambulance etc. We also have quantity surveyors and building architects for delaps and condition reports. All are experts in their field with many years of experience. Above all they are committed to doing their best. Consultants are handpicked based on their skill level. Are your emergency procedures set ? and are they effective ?

Do you provide HSE & Fire Risk Assessments?

Yes. This is high on our agenda. As an employer you have a legal duty of care to ensure both and many other aspects of compliance are in place. We will not only conduct the assessment but work with you to ensure you are complaint. What we don’t do is just tell you what you don’t have and then walk away! we support you in getting it right and apply a CIP method. FRA's are annual but HSE audits on your own premises could be a lot more frequent. Taking into account accidents or near miss reporting you must instil a culture to remove such risks. Talk to us ..

Do you supply Manned Security Guards.

No. However we do work closely with one of the UK's top three (infologue status) should you require guards. What we will do is assess your guarding operation whether its new or already in existence. Making sure you are getting value for money and above all are they effective. We can also look at monthly SLA's or training that may be required. We have over 30 years’ experience working with the SIA. Yeoman Associates (Excel) was one of the first UK companies to advise the UK Gov.

What levels of Occupational Health do you provide?

We can provide a basic level at Technician grade. This means we will teach your first aiders a high skill level. This may include the use of carry chair, airway management, bvm, oxygen, blood pressure recording, o2 saturations and patient handover. We can even oversee your own company exercises to add value and enhance what you do.
